Blog Blabber #2

Hey loves!
I know I've been a bit MIA lately. I've had a good bit going on in life. I also have been having bloggers block. I could not think of anything to blog about in the last few weeks. I'm hoping to get back on track now though and have a beauty post up for you this weekend. Anything in particular you want? I'm hoping to do my hair care routine because so many people have been asking me about my hair lately.
Also, if you have any video requests for my YouTube channel then fire away ;) I'm open to options.

I hope you're all ready for Easter, lots of yummy Easter eggs to be eaten. I can't wait!!!
Which do you associate with easter, a bunny or a little chick? Haha (odd question I know)

I know this was a quick post but I just wanted to let you all know that I'm still here and I will be posting again soon.

Lots of love,
                   Louise. xo

My Skincare Routine!

Hello my loves!
I have been asked a few questions lately about what face wash I use and how do I take my make up off so I decided to do a post on it. I do use a good few products but not all at one, I use some in the morning, some at night and two once a week!

In the morning I use

  • Clean & Clear Morning Energy Skin Energising Daily Facial Wash - this contains vitamin C and ginseng. It also contains bursting beads which claims to wake you us and invigorate your skin. I do like how this product smells and it doesn't dry out my skin or make it feel tight!
  • Garnier Refreshing Toner - its claims to tone and brighten skin, enriched with Lotus flower and moringa extracts. I do really feel like this tones my skin, I always have to use  toner, I don't feel like I get all my make-up and dirt removed if I don't use it.
  • Simple Hyrdating Moisturies- As I have said a bajillion times before I love the Simple skincare line, it does what it says on the tin (or bottle in this case) It moisturieses my skin without leaving me feeling oily or greasy all day. It contains pro-vitamin B5, vitamin E, glycerin and borage seed oil and no perfumes or colour.

At night time I use:

  • Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes - I remove the majority of my make-up with these wipes. They contains all the same vitamins as the moisturiser and they don't contain alcohol so they will not dry out your skin! This is especially important if you already have dry skin.
  • Garnier Miceller Cleansing Water - This removes my eye make-up and I then give a quick sweep over my face to remove anything that I have missed.
  • Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Facial Wash - This claims to eliminate spots and blackheads, I don't feel like it removes blackheads but it does make my skin feel really soft and clean. Also it smells yummy.
  • Garnier Refreshing Toner
  • Simple Hydrating Moisturiser
  • ESPA 24hr Eye Moisturiser - This replenishes and nourishes delicate skin. I like to apply this right before bed to allow it to work overnight.

Weekly Treatments:
  • Osiris Cucumber Exfoiliating Facial Scrub - I use this once a week usually in the shower to remove any dead skin, dirt and grease. It contains tiny beads which you can really work into your skin.
  • Monu Warming Aromatic Mask - I got this face mask sample in a Glossybox and I have been completely in love with it!! It contains natural clay, lavender and rosemary. I apply it once a week, let it set for a couple of minutes and then remove with a facial cloth. Ta-da nice smooth skin!

Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed this post and found it a little useful :)

Review: St Tropez Gradual Tan

Hello there my lovelies! How are you all on this lovely Spring day? I know I haven't posted in a long time, I've been pretty sick with the flu the last two weeks but it's slowly starting to go away now thank goodness. Anyways, here is a review on the St. Tropez Gradual Tan Lotion.

Okay can we just take a minute to appreciate how amazing this tan is? Especially for me since I a very lazy person! I apply it just before bed after showering and it gives a really nice subtle golden glow!
It wouldn't be suitable for a night out or anything because the tan doesn't develop to be that dark but it is really nice for during the day.

Apply it from top to toe and wait until fully dried before you get dressed, I like to wear loose clothing when I apply this just to give it that extra time to dry.
Another great thing about this which I think many of you will appreciate is that is doesn't smell like your normal tanner, which for me is a big plus!

Here is a picture of the tan the next morning after sleeping with it on:
The picture didn't come out so great but it gives you a slight idea.
I don't find this tan to be streaky at all, the only time I find patches is when I miss them myself...
Overall I would 100% repurchase this tan, I love it!
I bought it on sale for €13.00 but I think it retails for roughly €20.00
Hope this was helpful to some of you. :)

Have you tried the St. Tropez Gradual Tan? If so, how did you find it? Did you like it and would you repurchase? Let me know in the comment below.

Liester Award!!

Hi everyone! I was nominated for the Liebster award by Mehreen S
The Liebster Award is an initiative designed to promote new and/or small blogs.

How does it work?

1. You must link back to the person who nominated you and answer the 11 questions they asked you with their nomination.

2. You must pick 11 nominees and tell them that they've been nominated. You cannot pick the person who nominated you.

3. You must ask your nominees the 11 questions
 of your choice.

My answers to Mehreen's questions:

1. What's your favourite skin care product?
I love love love the Simple Skincare line, the products are so gentle and don't break me out. Their fragrance free which I also love because I use them at night too so there isn't a strong smell off my face when I'm trying to sleep.

2. If you could be any celebrity for the day, who would it be?
Hmm... Does a YouTube Beauty Guru count as someone famous? Haha, if so then I would Ciaoobelllaxo (Megan). This isn't going to be a shock to many people because everyone know how much I love her.

3. What's the best present you've received?
Proabably my GHD from my boyfriend! I use it every single day.. I'd hate to imagine my hair without it haha

4. What's your favourite designer?
Michael Kors

5. If you could choose one make up company to work with, who would it be?
I would have to say Benefit. They have such a great range of products and people never seem to have much problems with them.

6. Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
I hope to be a qualified Beauty Therapist. I also hope to be a part-time beauty blogger/vlogger.

7. What's your favourite online shopping website?

8. What book have you read recently, and enjoyed?
Oh my when was the time I read a book?! I remember reading Katie Pipers book My Beautiful Face a couple of months back which I really enjoyed.

9. How did you think of your blog name?
It was pretty simple really, I just used my initals and added the word beauty to the end of it. Nothing too extreme!

10. Tea or coffee?
Tea! Definitely tea. If I could only drink one drink for the rest of my life it would be tea...

11. What's your favourite beauty product at the moment?
I'm not sure if this counts as a beauty product but I assuming it would. I'd have to say the St. Tropez Gradual Tan Moisturiser, it gives such a warm and subtle glow!

The 11 people I choose:

My Questions:
1. Who's your favourite Beauty Blogger?
2. What's your fashion staple at the moment?
3. What made you start a blog?
4. What's your holy grail product?
5. What's your current favourite TV show?
6. What quote do you live by?
7. Who inspires you?
8. What can't you leave home without?
9. You're at a drugstore, which section do you go to first?
10. UGGs or Combat boots?
11. Top vacation spot?

Review: Soap & Glory Butter Yourself Body Butter

So I picked up this product in the after Christmas sales, it came in a set with a loofah and Soap & Glorys Foam Call bath and shower wash.
At first I wasn't particularly keen on this products smell but it started to grow on me after I used it a couple of times. It has a mix of fruity and musky smells. Not your everyday body butter scent.

It's consistency is really thick and creamy but unlike other body butters it doesn't leave your skin sticky & moist. It soaks into your skin right away and leave you feeling soft and smelly yummy.
It contains exfoilating AHA's, orange water juice and shea butter, peppermint oil and fruit liquid fig which probably explains the mixture of different smells.

I use this product at night before I go to bed so when I wake up in the morning my skin is really really soft! Although the smell doesn't last all day I don't mind that too much as my perfume usually overpowers it anyways.
I would definitely recommend this product if your skin is in need of moisture and a yummy, fresh smell.  Plus, how could you pass up cute packaging like this?  It retails for about €13.00 and can be purchased in Boots.

Have you tried Butter Yourself Body Butter? If so, what did you think of it? Let me know in the comments below!
